About Dasha

Anna Dasha Novotny was born in 2000 and raised in San Luis Obispo, California. From a young age, Dasha was immersed in the world of Country, Folk, and Americana music, a backdrop that has deeply influenced her artistic journey. This rich musical environment inspired her to pursue her passion, leading to the creation of her debut country album, ‘What Happens Now?’, released at the beginning of this year.

The album featured the breakout hit ‘Austin’, which quickly became a phenomenon online. The accompanying line dance went viral, with millions of people engaging with the track and further cementing Dasha's place in the country music world. The success of ‘Austin’ showcased Dasha's ability to connect with a wide audience through her heartfelt lyrics and captivating melodies. Her passion for telling her true story shines through in her music, characterized by its authenticity and relatability, mirroring her genuine self-expression.

‘Didn’t I’

The success she experienced did not hold Dasha back from making more music. She has already released her first new single, ‘Didn't I’. The song explores the theme of reconnecting with a former partner despite previous resolutions to move on. With the accompanying music video, Dasha is the XITE Featured Artist for August.
