About Fireboy DML

Fireboy DML, born Adedamola Adefolahan on February 5, 1996, in Abeokuta, Nigeria, is a rising star in the Afrobeats genre. His introduction to music began in the church choir, where he honed his vocal skills and developed a passion for music. This early exposure helped shape his unique sound, blending Afrobeats with R&B and soul.

A successful debut

Fireboy's career took off after his single ‘Jealous’, was re-released in 2019. The track's infectious melody and heartfelt lyrics quickly made it a hit, propelling Fireboy into the limelight. This success set the stage for his debut album, ‘Laughter, Tears, and Goosebumps’, released later that year. The album, featuring hits like ‘Vibration’ and ‘Scatter’, was both a critical and commercial success.

Global hit 'Peru'

Following the acclaim of his debut, Fireboy released his second album, ‘Apollo’, in August 2020. The album showcased his artistic growth and further established Fireboy as a versatile and dynamic artist, earning praise for its lyrical depth and production quality. Two years later, Fireboy released his third album, ‘Playboy’, featuring the global smash hit ‘Peru’.
